I asked the 6th grade to write about their favorite movie and what they thought the writers were trying to say in it, providing 3 examples. This was a classic response. It’s just so true. I absolutely love it.

“My favorite movie is Friday. The movie wants me to Learn never to smoke or play with people money. Also and never let nobody bully you. Also never hook up with nobody’s cousin over the phone. he did all of this cause of peer pressure.”

A nice explanation of how private foundations (such as the Gates, Broad, or Walton Foundations) consolidate political influence by investing in philanthropic causes such as educational reform. Obama’s DOE is basically run by peons of the Gates and the like.
